I have chosen the garden as my canvas, into which I continually paint my ideas. I make garden objects that help enliven the space, creating dynamic interactions or quiet moments. I use a high-fire stoneware clay body with a variety of hand-building techniques to achieve the effects evident in my work. Coiling, slab, press mold, pinching, carving, scraping and anything else which will help me arrive at my goal. My work is process-oriented, purposely leaving behind traces of touch and human contact.
